NaNo = Procrastination

How did I forget this? I don't know. :rolleyes: Well, I had planned on getting my research for my group speech which I need to have the ouline and the power point done for by tonight before I touched NaNo, but what did i do? Start NaNoing. Well, I now have 1228 words and I'm about to go to lunch, so I'll be back later, hopefully after my project is done. At least somewhat.

So, I am 663 words into it. Woot! We'll see if I end up finishing or not. Anyway, MM introduced me to a new band, and me being me, I couldn't resist looking for songs that would fit my characters. Well, I found one that sounded almost exactly like something Brielle would say later on. The song is "Beware" by Xandria.

NaNo 2008

So..... me being the glutton for punishment that I am, I'm seriously considering doing NaNo this year.... someone needs to talk me out of it before I do something stupid. We'll see how it works out with my 2 group projects and all my papers. But I would love to make it work.

If I do it, I will probably use the plot from Shattered. For those of you who aren't familiar with Shattered, it is the story of Brielle (who's picture will be in the profile pic soonish.) The target audience is young adults and possibly adults, but we'll see how it turns out. I wanted to baby the plot, but as someone pointed out, I'll never finish it if I baby it. So.... I may end up writing the rough draft, then babying the second draft and hoping it works better than my first draft has. DO NOT READ THE VERSION ON CLEANPLACE! IT NEEDS SERIOUS WORK AND IS GOING TO BE TOTALLY REVAMPED. No pun intended.

Anywho. That's my current dilemma. But we'll see! It's just a little over 24 hours away!

Well....

I don't think I can finish NaNo this year... I'm over 12k behind, and by tomorrow I'll be even further behind. So... Yeah. And to make it worse, I kinda lost focus on my NaNo. I suddenly have this irrepressible urge to work on Shattered right now. But I guess that was slightly unavoidable after reading Twilight and most of New Moon .

So, I doubt I will finish NaNo, at least, during NaNo time. Maybe if I had saved Shattered until NaNo I could have done it, but I can't seem to find it in me to write more of this plot while I have inspiration and a desire to write more of another one, which, I personally, like more.

Oiy...

I'm in the negatives alright... by over 8k... and I won't have compy access until Wed earliest... *sighs* I might not be able to complete my NaNo... But I really wanna.

Oh Sigh...

I won't have computer access really until Friday, earliest, so I am really only hoping right now that I can finish on time... *crosses fingers and prays*

Rambling as I write

So, I'm going to write in here as I write in NaNo.

I've already introduced several characters who will be in it, shockingly enough. Xylia, never by name though she narates the intro, Falathiel (Xylia's sister), Naima (human), Daryl (also human), and Rhielle (Daryl's twin), and Entropy (Bad guy)

Jillian and OUr Solemn Hour by Within Temptation are great songs to write to. For that matter, Within Temptation is a great band to write to, especially the scenes I'm on right now.Entropy is... *makes strangling motion*

The Howling reminds me of Entropy. :ninja: *restarts to write this scene*

Yay! getting back in the flow of writing. *posts this to delete another distraction*

So, I need to write, but instead I'm watching SGA, smart, I know. But I didn't get this Procrastinator's Unite shirt for nothing. Wearing it right now too :P
